The Ice-O-Matic ICE0606HT is an ice machine cuber head that can produce up to 650 pounds of half-sized ice cubes in a 24-hour period under ideal temperature conditions. The ideal temperatures for your ice machine to operate are 50° water and 70° air. The cuber head cabinet measures 30 inches wide, and it will require being mounted on a bin, a beverage dispenser, or an ice dispenser to hold the ice that is produced. This Ice-O-Matic model has a top air discharge vent instead of a side discharge vent. This means that the Ice-O-Matic ICE0606HT does not require additional side clearances for air circulation and so it can easily be installed in narrow spaces. The ICE0606HT is ideal for smaller establishments with moderate daily ice requirements. Note that the ICE0606HT needs a 6" top clearance for the proper venting of hot air.
Ice-O-Matic has incorporated its antimicrobial compound called AgIon to reduce the growth of bacteria, slime, and fungus on internal surfaces that come into contact with water or ice. The Half Cube ice that the Ice-O-Matic ICE0606HT makes measures 7/8" x 7/8" x 3/8". The smaller Half Cube is often used in dispensing applications because it is less likely to jam the dispenser mechanism. Half Cubes are also great for retail beverage sales since more cubes can fit in each glass, meaning less liquid per serving.
Note that for proper installation, the Ice-O-Matic ICE0606HT requires a 208-230 volt, 60Hz, 1-phase electrical connection. The ice maker also requires a potable water line in, and an external drain (either a floor drain or a drain pump) for purge water from the end of each ice-making cycle. It is an air-cooled ice machine, so it is more susceptible to drops in ice production amounts due to surrounding air and water temperature increases. However, the special feature of this ice machine model is that it makes use of Ice-O-Matic's top air discharge for optimal installation. In all other aspects, this ICE0606HT is the same as Ice-O-Matics ICE0606HA model.
The Ice-O-Matic ICE0606HT uses only 19.5 gallons of water for every 100 pounds of ice it produces. It flushes a limited amount of purged water per ice-making cycle. Ice-O-Matic's Harvest Assist technology allows the ICE0606HT to create ice consistently while consuming less energy as well. Harvest Assist helps release ice from the evaporator surface more quickly, meaning the length of the ice-making cycle is shorter. Plus the machine only uses 5.0 kWH for every 100 pounds of ice made. These water and electricity efficiencies help the ICE0606HT earn its ENERGY STAR rating.
