The Ice-O-Matic ICEU150FW undercounter ice machine produces up to 180 pounds of Full Cube Ice every 24 hours (production rated at 70 degrees F air and 50 degrees F water). The Full Cube ice that the ICEU150FW produces measures 7/8" x 7/8" x 7/8". The cubes are large and take a bit longer to melt than other styles of ice. With Full Cubes, there is less dilution of the beverage which makes them popular in bar applications. The Ice-O-Matic ICEU150FW would therefore be a good choice for an executive suite or behind the bar in a restaurant.
The Ice-O-Matic ICEU150FW has a self-contained, built-in storage bin with a capacity of up to 74 pounds of ice, meaning that you can produce and store ice in almost any location. Since the unit is only 24.5 inches wide and 39 inches tall with the legs attached, you do not need a lot of wall space to install the Ice-O-Matic ICEU150FW. Note that for proper installation, you will require an electrical connection, two incoming water lines and an external drain. The Ice-O-Matic ICEU150FW's electrical voltage is 115 volts, therefore most locations will accommodate this undercounter ice maker. One of the incoming water lines must be potable water for making the ice. The ICEU150FW uses 25 gallons of water for every 100 pounds of ice it produces. However, as the Ice-O-Matic ICEU150FW is a water-cooled model, it requires a second incoming water line to circulate water around the condenser to transfer heat away (150 gallons of water for every 100 pounds of ice produced). All of this water will be considered waste water and must be drained out of the unit after each ice making cycle. Note that this unit uses slightly less electricity than an air-cooled model (6.25 kWH for every 100 pounds of ice made), but significantly more water. Please be certain to have either a floor drain or an external drain pump (sold separately) that can handle the water volume.
In addition, Ice-O-Matic's commitment to simple ice-making means that the ICEU150FW uses an electro-mechanical control panel without any complex computer circuitry, so you pay less and there are fewer components that might break down.
