The Hoshizaki KM-231BAJ is an undercounter ice maker that produces Hoshizaki's signature crescent ice cube. It is an air cooled ice maker, so it uses the air around it to keep its condenser cool. The Hoshizaki KM-231BAJ is one of Hoshizaki's smaller undercounter ice makers, measuring 24 inches wide and 39 inches high. This ice maker makes up to 213 pounds of ice in a 24 hour period, and the internal storage bin stores up to 80 pounds of ice. The production levels of the KM-231BAJ are relatively low however, so this ice maker is more aptly suited for small scale, ice making. It will operate well in the very small bars, or private clubs.
