Ice-O-Matic ICE0500FW-B40PS 540 LB 30" Water-Cooled Full Cube Ice Machine w/ Storage Bin

The Ice-O-Matic ICE0500FW-B40PS is a combination of the Ice-O-Matic ICE0500FW water-cooled full cube ice machine and the B40PS storage bin. The ICE0500FW is designed to be mounted on top of the B40PS bin.

The 30" wide Ice-O-Matic ICE0500FW cuber head is only 20" tall and is considered a low profile model. The ICE0500FW is capable of producing 540 pounds of Full-sized cube ice in a day. The Full Sized Cube produced by the ICE0500FW measures 7/8" x 7/8" x 7/8" and is commonly used for beverages and ice bagging applications because of its larger size and the fact that it takes a little longer to melt than smaller cubes. For installation, the Ice-O-Matic ICE0500FW requires a 115-volt electrical connection. The unit also needs 2 incoming water lines. First it needs a potable water line in for making the ice. Then a second incoming water line is required to circulate around and cool the condenser. Because it is a water-cooled ice machine, the ICE0500FW will use significantly more water than a comparable air-cooled model (an additional 132 gallons of water per 100 LB of ice produced will be flushed). The Ice-O-Matic ICE0500FW also requires an external drain that can handle a high volume of water, since both purged water from each ice making cycle AND the water that cooled the condenser must be drained. However, one of the benefits to water-cooled models is there will be no hot air vented into the surrounding area. Water-cooled ice machines also won't need any side vent clearances. Therefore, the Ice-O-Matic ICE0500FW would work well if you have a limited space for installation or it must be installed between other appliances.

The Ice-O-Matic B40PS storage bin is also 30 inches wide and needs no side clearances. The B40PS bin has a storage capacity of up to 344 LB of ice. The storage bin by itself stands a total of 37.5" high with the adjustable legs set at 6". The Ice-O-Matic B40PS is constructed with a stainless steel exterior for durability and a corrosion-proof inner polyethylene liner for excellent sanitary conditions. Between the two bin walls is a layer of foam insulation to preserve the ice supply. The plastic bin door of the B40PS flips up when you need to scoop ice. Plus the B40PS model has a built-in scoop holder. A bin drain for any melted ice is located at the back of the unit.

With the low profile ICE0500FW cuber head sitting on top of the storage bin, the entire ICE0500FW-B40PS equipment combination measures only 57.5" high. Both of these pieces of equipment are 30 inches wide. With these compact dimensions, the Ice-O-Matic ICE0500FW-B40PS combo is ideal for a business with a moderate daily ice usage and space restrictions.
